Loch Lomond Castle
Lomond Castle stands on the
Banks of Loch Lomond, Scotland's First National Park and has uninterrupted views of Loch
Lomond and the surrounding hillside. It is situated on the A82, this is the main
route to Inverness and Fort William, yet it is only 30 minutes from
Glasgow Airport. The Castle is ideally situated for anyone wishing to tour the
Highlands or enjoy the local amenities which include Golf, Fishing, Hill Walking
and Climbing. The Arrochar Alps include four Monroe's, mountains
over 3000ft, and six Corbett's, the best known of which is the Cobbler. Ben
Lomond is only minutes away by boat. The Loch is well known for its Water
Sports. These include Wind Surfing, Sailing, excellent Water Skiing
and Wake Boarding.
There are a number of well respected golf courses in
the area including the World famous Loch Lomond which hosts the Scottish
Open and the newly completed Carrick which has also a superb Spa with its
own infinity pool. Balloch and Helensburgh are the two nearest towns, they have
superb shopping and restaurants. Helensburgh has the "Hillhouse", a Charles
Rennie MacIntosh Mansion which is open to
visitors.
